Worcester man snowboards down Walnut Street
Steve Phillips couldn’t resist getting out his splitboard and taking a ride down one of Worcester’s steepest downtown hills.
With dispensaries so prevalent in Massachusetts, it’s hard to believe recreational use of marijuana has only been legal for about 10 years.
Medical marijuana was legalized in 2012, and recreational use was made legal in Massachusetts in late 2016.
Since then, the cannabis industry has exploded in Massachusetts, with many establishments in the state dedicated to dispensing marijuana products, serving out-of-state visitors from Rhode Island, Connecticut, and even New Hampshire, where recreational use of the substance is not legal.
Recently, one marijuana periodical Leafly has ranked a Massachusetts dispensary as one of the best in the country in its list of the top 100 dispensaries in the U.S., basing it on customer satisfaction and other criteria.
“These are the places with the biggest selection, the savviest budtenders, the dankest deals, the happiest customers, and of course, the most impeccable of vibes,” Leafly said.
Here’s what you need to know about this spot.
Garden Wonders Cannabis — Millville, Massachusetts
Leafly named Garden Wonders Cannabis as the fifth best dispensary in the United States because of their simple and amicable relationship they have with their regulars.
“Their rankings and reviews have helped propel this independently owned and operated dispensary to the hearts and minds of New England’s cannabis consuming public,” Leafly said. “A dispensary that takes suggestions is rare, and Garden Wonders is happy to go against the grain by actively soliciting recommendations from their customers to be the best dispensary it can be, with a lineup curated to suit their community.”
They also host giveaways and events for charity, like a raffle for Bags of Hope, a charity for children in foster care, where customers could buy a $1 ticket and the winner could acquire a skate deck, according to this Garden Wonders Cannabis Facebook post.
They also sell a lot products by many local cultivators.
“Our menu consists of products from local cultivators such as Highmark Provisions (Holliston, MA), Tower Three (Taunton, MA), Cresco (Leicester, MA), SparQ (Adams, MA), and many others,” their website says.
Located at 1 Buxton St. in Millville, Massachusetts, Garden Wonders Cannabis is about 20 minutes away from Worcester and Providence.
