OMGRAVY, as soon as I saw the birch, I thought they would look beautiful planted in a gradation on the hill!!! Hahahaha, we're on the same brainwaves today.
I live in a house that I inherited from my father, who inherited it from his parents. My grandfather made architectural drawings of the house & land. We have water, power & sprinkler systems detailed on separate blueprints. We scanned and then framed the originals. We updated our digital ones when we make changes. If u every do a major remodel or build a new house, I highly recommend doing this.

Love the birch trees! Groves of them are going to be sooo beautiful! How fast do they grow? I have a corner of my lot I think I may add them to. How exciting for you and your mom to be included in your neighbor's designing process! More of Laura will continue to grow on into the future. You have a great reno team! I have been watching since u moved in and I love going back to old videos. Would u do a wood arbor in the south garden? I thought the pallet walkway might look good in south garden where u put the new arbor going to the table and chairs. ❤ I use to watch to get away from the news but now I’ve learnt how to garden.

Love seeing all the updates! Have you thought about putting a drain in the floor under the washer? You never know when there may be an event with the washer, and that could prevent an unexpected shower of water into your kitchen. Keep up the dreaming… you are doing great!
pocket doors are great. we have two, but wished we'd had them do it for the laundry.

Can you explain a little more about the birch trees when you’ve got five in a clump? When you showed us your single specimen, it’s huge so how do you put five so close together without the inner branches colliding with each other?
I live right next door to my mom (sorry husband) and we share a yard (all fenced in). My son loves it! He sees his grandparents every day and just bops between the houses lol It is such a fun relation to watch.
Loved seeing them just move the existing wall. So cost effective and no waste. Thank you for bringing us all along on the reno and now your neighbors garden. What fun!

I don't know who is editing now, but remember we all can relate to Laura when trying to remember exactly what variety of plant we have planted in a particular spot so don't give her too hard of time… I saw those checks LOL. I am amazed she keeps up as well as she does because I have a lot less and have trouble remembering all the varieties I have.
