This is my first year gardening and growing vegetables! When I research about butternuts they seem to have a significant amount of growth compared to my two before they produce flowers! are these guys stressed? They get full sun, watered regularly and fertilised by the recommended amount on the back of the bottle! Only male flowers at this stage!

    I might be wrong, but after growing a number of plants in the cucurbit family I’ve found they tend to flower quite early, and you’ll only get male flowers for a while. As far as I can tell, you’re doing fine 😊
