If, like thousands of others, you’ve enjoyed the convenience of our garden waste collection service, it is now time to renew your subscription.
Please sign up by visiting canterbury.gov.uk/garden.
For those who can’t subscribe online, you can do so over the phone by calling 01227 868 556.
This year, an extra collection has been added in March 2027, which means collections will now continue without a break between one subscription year and another.
Waste will be collected fortnightly starting from 30 March 2026 and ending on 26 March 2027, with a short break between mid-December and mid-January.
The cost of buying a green bin has also been cut from £71.38 to £42.64 – a price reduction of 40%. This new price will remain in place until February 2027.
The annual subscription cost for this year is set at £65 for one bin – just £2.70 per collection when you sign up from the start.
Those wanting more than one garden waste bin collected at their property will need to pay £56.48 for each additional subscription.
