Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County is gearing up for spring with another horticulture program this week.
Horticulture & Conservation Program Educator Megan Will says Container Gardening will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Dallas County Extension Office, 28061 Fairground Road, in Adel.
She adds that participants will learn to grow vegetables in containers, what varieties work well, along with soil and watering tips. Will details that attendees will be able to transfer those skills to plant peppers in patio pots or basil on their balconies this summer.
