If you are a beginner and purchased your orchid at a grocery store, more than likely it is of the genus Phalaenopsis. Most common orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, are hybrids and it is difficult or impossible to identify the name. This isn’t to say your orchid can’t be identified. In many cases, it might be possible to somewhat identify the parents of your orchid.

My home depots never have these. There are 2 stores within 20 mins from my house and I’ve never seen them. I look at orchids every place I go that sells flowers. I’ve spent way too much money on orchids over the years, lol. But the joy they bring me every time they bloom makes every penny worth it!!

Nice looking Paphs. The Orchid Society of the Ozarks is having its Spring Show and plant sale in the Pauline Whitaker Equine Center in Fayetteville , AR, this weekend. We will have a ton of these, and they will be HEALTHY ! Unbelievable eye candy, come one, come all.
