I've learnt so much and it's been a journey. I've never attempted gardening in my life. This journey was almost spiritual and I got a better perspective of the natural world. The excessive Italian heat doesn't allow me the luxury of filling the garden with meadow flowers or many flowers ro be honest, so I had to create texture to give me depth and contrast. I'm still learning and so far I've loved the journey.

That’s a purty lawn. If you can grow turfgrass or something turfgrass adjacent and keep it that green then you can definitely grow native wildflowers lmao.

This is such a stunning transformation 😍 you did a beautiful job!

With lots of heat you could research flowering plants that can withstand it. Thyme varieties can be a beautiful ground cover and they flower beautifully. Rosemary flowers too. Then there are frangipani trees or cacti. Aloe Vera has beautiful flowers as well. Also lots of fruit trees flower, such as citrus trees. If you are up for vines, passion fruit has some of the most beautiful flowers 🩷

Maybe try to research tropical flowers πŸ™‚ there are a lot of very heat and drought resistant flowers out there.

Edit: it would be great to choose some native plants that flower, which contribute well to the local ecosystem. They should automatically be well adjusted to the climate.
