The Putnam County Master Gardeners will host their annual Garden Fair Saturday, March 21 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, whether you’re an expert or a novice.
The 2026 Garden Fair will showcase several new vendors as well as crowd-favorite vendors showcasing products and/or services related to gardening, landscape, nature and wildlife.
Vendors will be selling various items, including seeds and bare root plants, herbs, flowers, houseplants, shrubs and ornamental trees. There will be vendors selling soil, pottery, yard art, natural skin care products, bee-raising equipment and honey products and bird houses, as well as booths for avid bird watchers.
B-Town Sharpening will be on-site to sharpen tools, pruners, scissors, hedge trimmers, etc. to get them back into tiptop shape for the new gardening season.
New for 2026 is a garden-related photo contest. Categories include: “Trees in the Garden,” “Bees in the Garden,” “Flowers in Bloom,” non-invasive and legal “Fruits, Vegetable, Herbs, Weeds” and “Emerging Artists” for children and young adults aged seven to 17. The Putnam County Master Gardener booth will offer a free tree for each family. There will be four varieties offered this year on a first-come, first-served basis. Aat the PCMG booth, visitors can ask questions about their garden, landscape or houseplants, and grab free seeds and learn about the Seed Library within Putnam County.
Attendees are also encouraged to visit the Purdue Extension booth to discover how they can become a Master Gardener or learn more about the impact Purdue Extension has on the community.
In the Master Gardeners’ garage sale shed, visitors will find gently used garden-related items at bargain prices. Breakfast and lunch options and homemade desserts will be available at the PCMG Café.
Throughout the day, expert speakers will be discussing various gardening topics.

The Putnam County Master Gardeners host this annual event to encourage people to discover gardening, improve their skills, raise food for their families and create beautiful green spaces. The money raised through booth rentals, donations and food sales all fund the Putnam County Master Gardener Association educational events throughout the year.
