Just got these off of marketplace, i haven't been able to find anything on what the ends should look like before planting but I assume its not this.

should I cut the ends off and wait for sprouting or just wait how it is.

    Cut the rot back until you see no more squishy brown flesh and even if its hard if it has brown tint to any of the green flesh under the actual skin cut it back till thats gone or it will continue to spread …thats been my experience and I felt with rot more than I should have …

    In honesty, by appearance alone, there’s no way to tell if these are rotting. If the flesh is soft and squishy then most likely you have a problem and it needs to be cut out, but if everything feels firm and dry, chances are it’s not rotting and just not attractive 😆.
