The Lacinato kale is now growing rapidly, same with the one Genovese basil. Realistically 2 out of the 5 kale were stunted, but three are very strong. I don't have enough space for all of them in this small area anyway so I think that's okay. I'm beginning to prune the lower leaves, which I think is a smart idea now that they're solidly rooted. This is about a month and a half since the initial germination.
