Is this third baby on the right dead? I got them all together as one,but recently this one on the right had looked so sad. I’m still kinda new to cacti ,but it got crazy cold where I live for two weeks and he hasn’t looked the same since. Do I need to remove him and check his siblings for rot?

If it’s squishy where it’s dark, including the spot at the tip on the left, it’s rotted and needs to be cut out. Poke with pencil eraser to check. Sterilize the knife before and between cuts with alcohol. Cut until no discoloration remains inside.

The red spines on the new growth means its still growing. Its alive. There are several causes to make succulent changes its skin color. It can be stress, intense sunlight, overfertilized, whatever. Each specimens react differently. It will live. Also, cactus hates plastic pot. It traps moisture. The soil also looks too organic. Too organic means suitable condition for gnarly that kills cactus.
