Many gardeners wait until warm weather to start seeds, but this is a big mistake! Seed starting must begin many weeks in advance of warm weather. In this video, I share the best seeds to plant in March, as well as a comprehensive list of 60 crops for an incredible spring and summer garden. Plant this in March now, or regret it later!

I am in Tucson and today Feb 28, its already 92 degrees. Cool temperatures?
Thank-you for the push. The snow had me feeling down but you encouraged me!! Tomorrow i will start tomatoes🎉🎉
Yes. I grew potatoes this last year for the first time. They were the best tasting potatoes I’ve ever had.
I have a tomato question. I notice you use black shade cloth in the hot summer to keep them cool . Since black a tracks heat why not use white shade cloth?
I’m in Louisiana 8A By the first of May it is getting to hot for Snow peas. I like to plant them in the garden the first week of January. We had snow after they were up. They survived. Planting in January works for us.
What if you don’t have any of the items to grow the plants inside?
Sadly New England is expected to have a well below average cold march and much of the west is already getting too hot for spring crops, i know we can sow in doors but i worry about a rough growing season this year for a lot of ppl
I got 12 of those mobile containers that you have. Im ready to plant 12 different types of tomatos.
I have a last frost date on 21 May, so I can start so much this weekend. One thing I do if I'm worried about it being a bit cold for my cucumbers and squash is to cover the plants with a plastic milk carton in the beginning – keeps it warmer. I also tend to really protect the soil and try to get that warmth in there. Has worked so far very well.
❤❤❤❤❤
Going with determinate tomatoes this spring. I visited a tomato farm in Warren Arkansas on July 18 last year. They were growing BNH 589 tomatoes. They were 5 feet tall. The plants were loaded. They had red tomatoes plus green tomatoes on the same plant. They stopped selling tomatoes first week of August. Will never grow indeterminate again. They grow a large plant, but few tomatoes!
Was waiting on this Friday drop!
Hi from South Florida Anthony and Dale. You are definitely my favorite online gardener.
Not being rude but not a fan of the intro music 😂😂😂
Thanks again! Say hello to Dale for me.
Im in 7B
Hi, from Missouri, I've had most of my garden seeds planted since early to mid February and they are doing very well, but just wondering how long they will last until the middle of March without bolting. They are around 3 to 6 inches tall now, so any recommendations
Have you ever done a vid on specifics between summer and winter squash sowing? Im in 7b and trying wintersquash for the first time. Wish me luck!
Thanks for the vid.
I have designed a layout for my garden based on all the info I get from your videos. Is there a way I can send it to you so you can look to see if I made any major errors?
You listed basil twice in your list of 60 plants. Do I win a prize?
East coast here, started them in my little greenhouse, last week….last year I said that was my last year for planting….yaha..
Snow forcast for Monday here in Indiana then rain most of next week after 60 degrees today. We still got a little more waiting before soil is warm and dried a little. Cherry tomatoes are on autopilot. Get 1000s of volunteers after tilling.
That's 2 basil. Thx for all the videos!
Im in 8b Canada! Brussels should still be okay here cause it usually doesn't get hot until about June
I’m am getting my drip system ready tomorrow in my raised beds so I can get collards , cabbage, lettuce, onions and carrots in next week. We have had so much rain the last few days it has been impossible to get in the bed and not make mud
I have potato’s that I harvested around June. They’ve sprouted and might have already started growing potatoes😂 I will attempt to sew them in March
great video. you should try to grow the winged bean
Hi, was wondering what kind of fertilizer we can use for our Prime Ark Freedom blackberry bushes? We live in Southwest Arkansas and have noticed some new growth starting. Thank You!
Everything is going into the ground as quick as I can!
I did my seeds a month ago! So many of my plants are well under way!
I’m in zone 6a. We have had snow in April. I can’t put my veggies out until June 1st because the ground is so cold until then. It’s depressing listening to all these southern gardeners who are starting there gardens outdoors now!!!
Do you have a business email by chance?
Spring? Its about to be summer in Texas.
Great video! Love the sow and transplant schedules. So helpful and easy. 🩷
We are having an unbelievably DRY and WARM “winter” here in Colorado so I’ve started my garden already. The honey bees are looking for food and I feel so bad that nothing is planted yet.
