Bathinda: In another act of violence, a 48-year-old property dealer and his employee were shot dead at a farmhouse in Sardulgarh town of Mansa district on Friday morning. According to police, the shooting took place around 10 am at the farmhouse of property dealer Jasbir Kumar, located on the outskirts of Sardulgarh. He resided in Meerpur village near Sardulgarh and used to visit the farmhouse in the morning.Sources said that some people in a Fortuner reached the farmhouse and fired at Jasbir and the gardener, Baldev Kumar. Sources said one of the bodies was found lying on a chair, while the other was on the ground. The motive of the crime is still unknown, but sources said some money issue may not be ruled out behind the crime.The deceased Jasbir’s paternal uncle, Satpal Kumar, said that the family was in deep shock. Sources also said that the target of the attackers seemed to be Jasbir, and when the gardener came close to his employer as he was gunned down, they also fired at him, killing him as well. Mansa SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena reached the spot for investigations and, speaking to media persons, said that investigations are under way. A forensic team was also deployed to examine the crime scene and collect the evidence. A case under murder charges was registered at Sardulgarh police station, and no arrests were made so far.
