Found this girl as a clearance rescue at Sam’s Club and she literally did nothing for 6 months. Just sat there taking up space. Then I got the bright idea to spray her down with All Seasons Horticultural Oil. Huge mistake. It basically cooked the plant overnight.. massive rot, violently yellow leaves, and a totally necrotic growth point cause oil got down in where it didn’t belong.
I had to cut the fucker back node by node over the course of months until I was left with a sad, leafless little stump. I thought she was a goner for sure. Timelines from about mid November till now.
But I kept her dialed in with my usual Protekt, Foliage Pro, GH CaliMagik, GH Rapidstart, That Yucca Stuff and recharge.. she’s coming back with a fucking vengeance! Almost every single node woke up and is pushing out a new growth point
MORAL OF THE STORY – ITS OKAY TO MAKE MISTAKES. PLANTS LAG IN RESPONSE TIME BUT THEY ARE SO FORGIVING. no matter what your plantalones send your way, approach with conviction, DO YOUR RESEARCH and only throw away a plant if beyond reasonable doubt there’s no coming back
