I installed a grow light above my String of Pearls via adhesive – never, ever again – and I came home to the grow light on top of my plant! The top appears significantly sunburnt! Any suggestions for how to proceed? Does the plant appear too damaged or is it possible to save it? Thank you for any and all suggestions!

Looking for grow light information? Check out Grow Lights in the [Light and Watering wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/wiki/light_and_watering/#wiki_grow_lights). For basic light specs, [check this post out](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/comments/7vek8w/lighting_guide_the_basics/?st=JDOSH3NL&sh=bd64930a).

Be wary of any “blurple” lights, or halo style as those are generally too weak to sustain high light plants like many succulent plants’ compact and healthy growth. Amazon is filled with cheap brands and grow light options, and this can be overwhelming. But, Barrina and Sansi are both reputable brands, used by many, with lights that work well.

For other recommendations, try a search of the sub, you will find many many other threads asking about them as well.

  2. Bring it out from under the light altogether. It should recover in time. My SoP responded poorly to grow lighting as well, it seems to prefer a SE facing window.

Maybe coil some strands around the top, backfill soil with a bit of worm castings, is what I would do.

How very sad for you. 🥺
I like the suggestion to coil some at the top. Maybe it will help you feel better.
