This is my 2026 food garden plan for comment. I'm still new to greenhouse gardening so let me know if you see any problems (light levels, bad combinations, incompatible water requirements). Intentionally leaving some blank space for new suggestions, nursery finds, donations from friends. Currently topping all the beds with fresh compost – nets are temporary protection from cat scratching.
I live inside a 36'x60'x12' to gutter height greenhouse in zone 8b. The greenhouse is on an almost perfect east-west axis so the south side gets sun almost all day except mid to late afternoon the south-west corner is shaded by tall trees.
The house is near the middle with ornamental garden on the east end and food garden on the west end. This is start of my 4th year gardening inside the greenhouse; each year adding to the infrastructure so now there are some raised beds, an arbor, walk ways with wood chips (brown) and some with slate tiles (grey).
Color-coding is the amount of sun. These plants have wintered over and are not moving – potatoes, olive tree, peach tree, peppermint, bee balm, strawberries, asparagus, artichoke.
