Discover Burien will host its annual Burien Garden Tour on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring nine gardens across the city and raising funds for community beautification projects in downtown Burien.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. Space is limited.

The tour begins at the New Start Community Garden, also known as The Shark Garden, where attendees will pick up a tour map and badge by showing their ticket confirmation email. The Shark Garden will also host plant sales and community organizations during the event.

Participants will then visit nine featured gardens throughout Burien. At each garden, attendees will collect entry tickets that can be used for prizes at the final stop, Huckleberry Gardens Nursery. There, guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbles and can enter raffles to win garden-themed prizes. Attendees will also have an opportunity to vote for their favorite garden.

According to Discover Burien, proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to support botanical beautification projects in the downtown area.

Organizers encourage community members to tour the gardens, gather ideas, connect with neighbors and celebrate Pride weekend.

Organizers note that not all gardens are wheelchair accessible, and accessibility details will be included on the tour map.

Pets and smoking are not allowed on the tour, except for service animals.

Tickets are nonrefundable in the event of inclement weather.

Volunteers will receive free tickets for the other half of their shift.
