The onion (first pic) is laying down and the tomato looks a bit wilted. Am I over watering or is there something else going on? (Reposted bc I forgot to add a user flare)

need more seed starter mix and plant deeper

EDIT: also pack the seed starting mix down so it is relatively compact ->
then use your finger to make a hole -> Plant ->then cover with more mix then compress
-> Water (I use a water bottle and poke small holes in the top of it to water at first to avoid over watering -> it doesnt need much water at first)

EDIT2: SORRY FOR SO MANY EDITS LOL<><

  2. My onions did a similar flop over. The issue on my end was heat (too warm) and light being too far away. I put them into a cooler area, cut them down a bit and put a fan on them.

    Good luck!

Thank you all for your help! I’ll course correct and see what I can do

Everyone looks overwatered! You might need to start again… overall I’d recommend skipping the compostable seed starting trays. Something with drainage holes is better for delicate seedlings

People are telling you that they are over watered, and that is probably true. However, the browning at soil level is a dead giveaway that you have a fungal disease called “damping off.”

Damping Off is encouraged by cool soil, overwatering and too little light, but it’s an actual pathogen. When you go to replant, do not reuse your soil and sanitize your seedling trays, otherwise you can get damping off again even with perfect watering and enough light.

Kinda looks like fertiliser burn on the tomatoes
