I left my pitcher plant at uni over Christmas and thought it was doing better, but now it’s got white fluffy bits in the centre and some spiderwebs around it? Has my plant got harmful bugs/mould or just a spider?

(Picture doesn’t show the white bits very much as I just watered it)

from the camera quality I’d say your plant is fine.

You can cut off the withered pitchers near but not too close at the base to allow for more airflow around the rhizome which should kill the mold. If the mold persists you can use fungicide. Otherwise give your plant more sunlight and you will be set for the coming growth season.

White fluffy makes me think of mealybugs, make sure to check and confirm whether you have mold or mealybugs
