We bought our property 3 years ago in SW England and the garden was a jungle full of overgrown grass and weeds. Our priority was to create two long borders with Central grass pathway and we have successfully turned the garden into a bit of an oasis. However the lawn has not really been cared for and is still essentially the same base as what we adopted. It is bumpy and patchy and I've weeded it as best I can but dandelions and moss are still an issue. This year I want to try and correct it.

I'm thinking:

Late march first mow, scarify and hollow tine aerate.

Early April overseed and level with a lute.

Anything else I should be doing? The lawn is the final piece of the jigsaw.

Pic shows when we bought it, last summer and current situation.
