Monty, who has battled multiple floods and diving temperatures in his Longmeadow garden has said while the weather is now lovely, it may not be time to mow.
The Gardeners’ World favourite, who presents the programme from his Longmeadow home has previously warned:
“Cutting too early during the colder months can damage your lawn, as grass doesn’t thrive in low temperatures. By mid-March, the weather in most parts of the UK has warmed enough to make mowing beneficial.”

Previously the gardening expert warned that everyone can be sure that the weather will be continue to be an unexpected surprise.
Seventy year old Monty wrote: “And whatever the weather brings, March changes from day to day, even hour to hour. We often have snow, frost, wind, rain and warm sunshine and always have daffodils, blossom, fritillaries, the hedges breaking into leaf and the grass growing. It is Spring!”
