Here in Ct. we are still in winters grasp! The snow had finally melted enough to see my winter sowing jugs, just to have them covered again with another 15” of snow. But the day before the storm I went to Trader Joe’s and they had Hellebores! You know I bought one to brighten up my table! Will be a while before I can think about putting it outside! Laura has really turned me into a Hellebore loving gardener!
❤
Does your mom get in the Winter Jewels series of hellebores by Little Prince of Oregon? They are over the top gorgeous, double blooms, etc.
Do your Violas spread like mine, they took over my berm, they are in my gravel driveway, they are like a bad weed.
Although Oregon Grape is native to Oregon, it is banned in many Northeastern states due to its invasiveness. Please, always check if plants are invasive and/or banned in your area prior to purchasing them.
Look at the beautiful hellebores I haven’t tried to grow in my flowerbeds but every time I see them in your beautiful garden I’m pea green with envy. All the beautiful flowers and plants and your containers give me added confidence I might be able to have luck with that .your videos encourage me ! Thank you so much
Our agapanthus in San Diego multiplied so rapidly . When I first landscaped I planted too many not aware they multiply
Laura, you must be in plant heaven. Can't wait to see where you put all of these beautiful specimens. You will have the most gorgeous garden in Oregon.🤗🤗🌿🌷🌼💮🌸🌿
Didn't see the Maroon Beauty Saxifrage in your greenhouse. Did it not make it home?
I LOVE THIS PLANT HAUL LOAD!!! SO PRETTY —– OF ALL THE AREAS THAT I MISS THE MOST IS THAT SWEET MICRO BOXWOOD GARDEN OFF THE KITCHEN…..IT MADE ME SO SAD – WHEN YOU ABORDED THAT AREA. BOOHOO! IT'S GETTING WARM IN NORTH CAROLINA (WAS REALLY COLD LAST NIGHT/WOKE UP TO 24 THIS AM—I'M DONE WITH THAT! & THE FERNS AT WALMART TODAY SUFFERED FROM THE COLD AND WERE DEAD – UGH!) WHERE WILL THE HELLEBORE GARDEN BE NOW THAT YOU ARE EXPANDING THE KITCHEN?
I am trying to imagine how amazing it must smell! How is Monica’s foot?
Love all your flower delivery.
Where is Samantas Fairy Garden.
My Granddaughter has requested one in my yard, so we will build one.❤🧚🌿🧚
I was in charge of managing safety programs where I worked. This included routine checks on alarms, extinquishers, stairway rails, non skid treads, etc. Oh and first aid items. Who knew that bandage dressings went out of date if sterile?! Fire extinguishers at home do also. I set an automatic calendar reminder on my phone and computer to replace or recharge as needed. Now I am retired. It occurred to me that, although I live in the same house as my daughter and son-in-law, I could do the same here. Things we don't use daily (or maybe/hopefully never) get forgotten. Thank you, Laura, for sharing this part of the video. Will start listing these alarms, extinguishers today! Gorgeous new plants!
Samantha, you can be whatever you want! Even a fairy 🥰
True Geraniums are my fave ground cover. Over the last 25 years, I've divided an original clump about 14×20 that a neighbor brought me from her seaside house. I've got it all around and have even given it away over the years. Now I'm planting it in my Daughter's little farm. Spreading the Joy! They spread but are so easy to pull up with no leftovers, sometimes while Spring cleaning I accidentally pull up and break segments. No prob, just stick 'em somewhere and they'll root in if rainy.
Invest in a few fire blankets, they are wonderful
I hope you do your new neighbor's yard!
Can you show us an update on your last neighbors yard project you did, please. I'd like to see how it filled in.
0h my I want all the hellebores!
Your excitement is infectious!! I can't wait to see what you do with all these lovely plants.
Oregon grape grows like weeds in my yard! I never imagined someone would purchase it! 😂
The Pocketbook flower is so similar to our Native Yellow Ladyslippers. They are an endangered wildflower that are illegal to dig up here in Manitoba. You mentioned that fire alarms may not go off in attic humidity but our house ones have gone off in our high humid summers. Love the plant haul, you were so excited! Zone 3 Manitoba 🇨🇦💪❤️
Those Hellebore's make me swoon!
Ahhh so many pretty flowers The hellebores sure are the stars of spring !
I grew up in Northern California in the Bay Area, and agapanthus was a major parking lot plant. It’s nostalgic for me now, but in my childhood it was just everywhere! Down the center of roads in my neighborhood, along the fence by my house. Everywhere! Lily of the Nile is a name for it.
I literally winced and closed my eyes when you slammed the bed cover down on their little heads😂As a child I couldn't walk on the grass because it would cause pain to the grass. Guess I still carry some of those feelings. The other side of me has no problem taking pruners to an overgrown Azalea!😂😂
Im in zones six in and overwinter agapanthus in the greenhouse they do wonderful I’ve had the same plant in a large pot for five yrs now.
Laura, my agapanthus do well in containers here in Zone 7. I bring them into the garage in winter where the temperature varies from 50 to 65 on average. I do have them under lights in that the LED shop lights in the garage are on all day. I divided them last spring and all are doing well.
I like the Ice & Roses red picote hellebores
We have an extinguisher in the kitchen where we cook, in the laundry room where our water heater and furnace access is, directly beside the door into the house from the garage where our attic access is. 😉 Roughly one extinguisher per 500-750sqft of home.
Replace them every few years, you just take the old ones to your local fire department.
I can highly recommend a variety of cranesbill called Biokovo, hardy and beautiful
Yayyy we are headed to the garden center!! Lovin the split screen 📺
The scent of Etain is gorgeous. Xx
So many Hellebores! What is the cost in your area? I've rarely seen them in Colorado, but a plant that size goes for 30+ dollars😢😮
I would love to fill my garden with those 🩷❤️
The Pocketbook flowers look like Lady Slippers! My great grandfather used to have them growing naturally around his cottage at the river. It was absolutely beautiful!
Oh my God Laura! The happiness & excitement in your eyes speaks loads😊 good luck 😅
Oh my goodness! Laura with all those plants you could start your won nursery…lol
Your plant load is gorgeous Laura! Can't wait to see them planted in their new homes! I know what you mean about missing your kids, as much as a break is nice sometimes, I always missed mine sooo much, even if it was just one night. We are still in the 20"s here in Wisconsin, and looking at snow chances all weekend. Oh Spring, I am anxiously waiting for you…….
I love this channel, Laura , you bring so much knowledge, happiness, and just "feel good" times. !!!🥰Thank you!
So glad that you’re firefighter Neighbor was able to give an in-service for y’all. There’s some very valuable tips and awareness of safety..
I love love love hellebores so much. My only frustration with them is they are so expensive! I wonder Laura have you ever attempted to grow hellebores if so, can you offer your viewers some tips and suggestions?
Your excitement is catchy !!! You're having such fun !!!
I love Agapanthus and they grow well here in California but I have an issue with browning tips on their leaves. Alstroemeria is my very favorite.
