  1. I burned up a new pair of shoes when I was a kid and got a whoopin' for it too. You look like a kid playing in the ashes. But, it will do wonders for your yard. Kill those ants now!

  2. Those ant hills gross me out. Years ago i reduced the ant population in our front yard by pouring boiling water in a nest. But I didn’t have to walk down such a slope and distance you have

  3. Very impressed with the new skills you have learned and the hard work you tackle independently to manage your gardens and orchard. You go girl! ❤ 😊

  4. Burning anything now is a risky proposition. Glad you got yours under control!
Need to prune and spray this week. So exciting seeing the flowers coming up! This year I WILL be foraging the purslane that I keep pulling up and treating like a weed.
Forest Pansy Red Bud. I have one and it is gorgeous. I have the Rising Sun Red bud, too, and they are both stunning ornamentals. Yes, I hear the bees! Incredible. BJ is too adorable.

  5. I can only hope my perennials and strawberries survived this coldest Maryland winter. With March comes meteorological spring, but snow and 32° F forecast for next week, so no gardening for me yet. Your garden is sprawling Kaye! Take care out there ❄️🌱🙂

  6. what a beautiful garden … I hope you are VERY proud of all your work over these years…

  7. You've sure been busy these past few weeks on prepping everything for the spring season. Those ant hills are crazy and I assume they are fire ants so not easy to deal with. Hope you have a safe trip to NC and weather is good…

  8. so exciting to see sprouts in the winter sowing jugs. I am surprised your cosmos came up so soon. I don't get anything sprouting until late April here, living in zone 3B in Ontario. boo hoo!
