Looking for information on who cut down my friends stand of Trichocereus. A solid 100’ were chopped. Per my friend and his neighbor, they didn’t get permission. These were cut from an Escondido neighborhood which is north county San Diego. Please keep your eyes open in case you see them trying to be sold in any of the groups and forums. Ask, seek, knock…

Cheers

Sucks. Only one I ever had stolen wasn’t even a Trich but I’d grown it from seed so it was sad. Took the pot and all. Sad thing is ..if you’d knocked and asked if have given them something for free of an actual Trich smh

This is what keeps me from putting anything crazy in the front yard

Can’t wait for the “is this Sam Pedro” shady pics. GL on new growth.

That’s fucked up. I’d take the post down and try to crop out identifying location details, especially the first pic. Someone could figure out how to find this baby and it’ll end up a tragedy of the commons 🫤

Such bastards, they deserve bad karma

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I see a decent mix of perfect diagonal propagation cuts, and perfect flat “for-eating” cuts. And they left the root stock with enough material to be able to come back and re-steal in a few years.

I’d say this has been stolen and marked by experienced growers unfortunately. If your friend has funds to spare, a trail cam might not be the worst investment….

Good luck to your friend, such a dick move…

    This is disgusting behavior.
