I’ve had this Philodendron Florida Beauty for over 2 years now, grew it from a cutting that took ages. Been growing really well within the last year without that much light tbh. Usually it’s right infront of my cabinet so much indirect light. I‘ve transitioned it to semi-hydro in Pon over 5 months ago, making sure it still has some dry phases in between for watering
I noticed more browning about 2 weeks ago on one of the lower variegated leaves. Any experiences with this sudden browning ?
Light hasn‘t really changed, could it be more need for fertilizer due to growling in size ?
What puts me off is the relatively quick browning located to just 2 lower leaves, otherwise I wouldn‘t worry too much.
Already checked for pests. The glossy appearance is from preventive treatment with an oil based pesticide, I’m 90% sure though I’ve used it before on it without problems.

If I didn’t know any better I would think that it had cold damage, but it doesn’t sound like that’s an issue.
These guys do need quite a bit of light. Do you think it’s possible that lack of light is causing it to cannibalize lower leaves in order to put out new growth?
