While it’s still too early for most major lawn repairs, February is the ideal time to assess any damage and prepare for reseeding. With warmer days and more reliable rainfall on the horizon, the coming months will offer the perfect conditions for grass seed to thrive.
For gardeners eager to make the most of sunnier days with fuller, lusher lawns, one product has been earning rave reviews on Amazon. The Pronto Super Speedy Grass Seed claims to deliver visible results in as little as 14 days, perfect for garden lovers looking to revive patchy or tired turf.
The 2.8kg pack of Pronto seeds can cover an impressive 164m² when used for overseeding or 84m² when creating a brand new lawn. Available to buy for £26.49, more than 24,000 Amazon shoppers have already purchased the grass seeds that ‘grow super quickly.’
The seed is suitable for use in various weather conditions and can function in both shaded and sunlit locations. It can tolerate a reasonable amount of foot traffic, so gardens remain usable even after sowing.
Pet owners are particularly pleased with the Pronto seed as they are safe to use around pets. Also available in 1.4kg, 5.6kg and 7kg sizes, buyers have seen success with it even when sowing on cooler days in February.

The deep-rooted, resilient grass seed has been designed for the UK climate, thriving in heavy foot traffic, shade or sun.
Amazon is also selling a range of alternative products for garden lawns, including the Miracle-Gro Patch Magic Grass Seed, Feed and Coir, which comes in a money-saving 3.5kg bag for £30. With over 11,000 reviews, buyers say that it is “very effective” but also “a little pricey.”
Otherwise, garden lovers with pets can try the Dog Patch Grass Seed from Avern, now reduced to £12.49. Designed to repel dog pee, the patch repair promises to make new grass green again.
Elsewhere, Yimbly (the online marketplace owned by Reach plc) is selling the Gro-Sure Fast Acting Lawn Grass Seed. The 1.5kg box is available for £22.99, offering coverage of 50m2.

Amazon customers who have already purchased the Pronto Super Speedy Lawn Seed have given it a 4.2 out of 5-star rating. One shopper said: “Having our first winter of constant rain and a very energetic female pup, our garden looked like a muddy swamp. I raked over the holes she had kindly dug for us (think small pond size) , threw down this box of grass seed in February/ March and amazingly – ta-da! We have grass again! It grew quickly and I cut it twice, have brought another box to fill in the patchy areas I missed the first time. Very impressed and recommend to fellow dog owners.”
Another added: “I’m really impressed with the Pronto Seed Grass Seed. After using it to overseed my lawn, I’ve seen fantastic results. The grass started sprouting quickly, and within a couple of weeks, I had a lush, green lawn that looks much healthier and fuller than before.”
A third called it “seriously impressive stuff” adding: “Sowed mid February. Followed by a frost and the ground under water. Several weeks later it’s germinated and is growing rapidly.”
Another buyer who wasn’t sure to begin with added: “It really did start growing in under 14 days. I was sceptical, and nothing really happened before day 10, but it’s now day 13 and there’s a lot of grass coming up.”
An Amazon shopper who seems set to be a repeat customer explained: “Simply and honestly the best seed I’ve bought in 50 years, did net it off to protect it. Bought so many brands over decades but amazing quick result Seeded last thing at dusk netted watered. Simple”
However, one did say: “Grows fast, but much faster than my old grass! I have to cut the lawn more often now.”
