HONESDALE, PA — All are invited to join the Wayne County Master Gardeners for a pre‑spring workshop in which one can create a winter‑sowing container and jump-start beloved perennial varieties with ease. The workshop takes place on Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m. at the Park Street Complex.

Master gardeners will guide participants through simple, winter‑sowing techniques that make seed starting both successful and stress‑free.

Have more seeds than needed? Bring them along. The seed-swap station “is the perfect place to trade, discover new varieties and learn smart seed‑saving tips to grow your garden for years to come,” the master gardeners wrote.

Master gardeners will be on-site to offer research-backed advice tailored to one’s space, goals and vision.

The workshop is expected to fill fast, but as long as space is available, walk-ins are welcome. “Just bring garden plans, seeds to swap and all your seed‑starting questions,” the master gardeners said.

The base fee for this workshop is $5.

The Park Street Complex is located at 648 W. Park St. in Honesdale.
