LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The 2026 Laredo Lawn and Garden Expo is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, inviting the community to “Cultivate Creativity” and grow beyond the norm.

From plant sales and live demonstrations to expert horticulture presentations, the event is designed for seasoned gardeners and beginners alike.

Dr. JJ Flores, president of Texas Gardeners, and Federico Elizondo with Webb County Texas Gardeners shared details about the upcoming expo.

Following last year’s successful turnout, organizers said they hope to see strong community participation again.

“We’ll have education presentations. We all know we all want to learn about gardening so we don’t kill those plants,” Elizondo said with a laugh. “We’re also trying to go a little more creative this time. We’ll be having topics on mushrooms in the garden, on palms, on transforming your garden design, and these Texas Superstars — which are plants that do really well — that are extra hard to kill.”

The 2026 Laredo Lawn and Garden Expo, “Cultivating Creativity: Growing Beyond the Norm,” will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Falcon Bank Headquarters, 7718 McPherson Road, inside the Community Room on the second floor.
