My fellow Namaquland lovers, how do we feel about bubline plants? One of my favorite genus's from S. Afrcia with its with its windows. Not technically a mesemb, but through convergent evolution they've adapted similar traits.

    It’s crazy how mesemb-like some of them are because Bulbines are monocots, and mesembs are eudicots. Their lineages diverged well over a hundred million years ago.
