MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Ash Wednesday brought the carnival season to an end, but the annual Trinity Gardens Parade on Saturday gave attendees on last chance to enjoy Mardi Gras.

The morning parade drew more than 11,000 attendees, according to the Mobile Police Department.

The parade began on Berkley Avenue and ended on Main Street. Crowds caught MoonPies, beads, stuffed animals and footballs along the route.

Mobile police said officers made one misdemeanor and one felony arrest during the event. Two lost children were reunited with relatives, according to police.
