hello all, new to this thread. My first house has an (pretty tall, maybe 25ft) avocado tree and it seems to be leaning pretty hard with the north winds (coming from right to left on the picture). my first instinct is to trim some of the smaller branches that are making it lean the most(probably the lowest hanging) however I’ve also heard that you are supposed to trim the top of the tree not the bottom. any thoughts on keeping this safe in the wind?

I have one with a lean as well. Ive trimmed some of the branches on the leaning side. Will continue to keep trimming some away and hope more new ones appear on the other side to balance it.
