Northern Irish indie rock favourites Two Door Cinema Club have announced a landmark return to New York City with their first-ever headline performance at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
Presented by The Bowery Presents, the show will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band’s breakout debut album Tourist History. Fans can expect a special front-to-back performance of the record, alongside a selection of the band’s biggest hits.
A Full-Circle Moment at Madison Square Garden
Originally released in 2010 via Glassnote Records, Tourist History helped define a generation of indie music. The album produced era-defining tracks including “What You Know,” “Something Good Can Work,” and “Undercover Martyn,” launching the trio from intimate club shows to global festival stages.
The September 2026 performance marks a milestone moment in the band’s longstanding relationship with New York City. From early headline appearances to sold-out nights at Webster Hall in 2010, and more recently packed shows at Pier 17, this Madison Square Garden debut represents the culmination of a 15-year journey.
Reflecting on the achievement, the band shared:
“MSG is one of those bucket list venues for any artist. After we sold out Webster Hall in 2010, we took a walk past The Garden one night and our agent said, ‘This time next year, boys!’ It only took a few extra years to get there, but here we are! We love NYC and we really can’t wait for this one.”
A Stacked Indie Line-Up for 2026
Joining Two Door Cinema Club on the night will be a stellar supporting cast, featuring electronic indie duo Phantogram, synth-pop favourites STRFKR, and dance-floor hitmakers Friendly Fires.
With Phantogram’s brooding electronic textures, STRFKR’s euphoric synth-driven anthems, and Friendly Fires’ infectious grooves, the evening promises to be one of the most exciting indie events on the 2026 live music calendar.
