PHARR, Texas – The Growing Gardners Club at Cesar Chavez Elementary, led by Science Lab teacher Tami Bhadai, has been selected as the National Junior Master Gardner (JMG) Group of the Month for February.

This national recognition highlights the campus’s Growing Gardners Club for exemplifying the JMG mission of “Growing Kids by Igniting a Passion for Learning, Success & Service.” As Group of the Month, club will be featured throughout February on the National Junior Master Gardener Program website and homepage, showcasing the students’ hands-on learning, teamwork, and commitment to service through gardening.

Each month, the National JMG Program selects one local group or class from across the country that best reflects its mission. This recognition celebrates the meaningful work taking place at Cesar Chavez Elementary, where students are cultivating leadership skills, environmental awareness, and a love for learning.
