Today we build a slim deck and pergola – and the outcome is AMAZING. I’m no pro, but I found this build was surprisingly intuitive and satisfying to build. Below is some info on my build, and links that helped me learn the basics. Hope this video helps inspire you!

What are the dimesions of the deck? I ask to get an idea of size and price comparison for framing and trex decking.
Nice work but you didn’t rest your rim joists on top of a notched post? Looks like you just screwed into them?
If this is meant to be cheap as the title supposedly implies I don't even want to know what is an expensive one.
Keyword "Cheap"
Very helpful and entertaining. Thank you
What's underneath the blockings under pergola posts? Are these blockings floating or on top of a tuffblock?
Barato barato no es.
Nice!
Nice video! What lighting solution are you using?
Hi! Would you please let us know what type of Trex boards did you use? There are a few different types and I"m curious to know which one you chose and why? Thank you!
it's not cheap tho
The pergola is supposed to be bolted to concrete. The deck frame and footings are kept down by gravity, right? What if wind lifts and blows the whole thing away?
I got exited and began to build this project, starting by watching this video, by minute 5 i was exhausted and decided to call it quits. GGs
what lawn tractor do you have? that looks sick
Low profile deck, and then starts the video with using a digging machine :d and im gone.
Thank you so much! I don’t have much experience, so I may need to hire people to do the machine stuff…but I wanna suprise my parents with a gazebo to relax when they buy their new house! they wanna get a big yard, and I thought it would be perfect to do while they’re at work (teachers!)
I know how to build well, but I have no clue how to make the thingy stay, but you explained that! Thank you so much!!!
Dude has more equipment than your average landscape artist, talkin bout some "I'm not a proffessional, I'm just a guy…"
Very pretty! I'd love to build this one day.
lol living in the nothingness
57 stone is not a compactable stone but it can be consolidated …
holy shit thats expensive, you wasted a ton of money
It's undoubtedly beautiful and inspiring. For me somehow it feels different when you build something nice with your own hard work and succeed. It's a great achievement and perhaps a mix of feeling of belonging & feeling of gratitude.
dude! this is impressive! lot of work… came out great!!
I got lower back pain from just watching.
7000 for that? I'll just sit under a tree
This pergola completely upgraded our outdoor area.
Cheap?! Bro immediately pulls out a mini excavator 🥴🥀

Great job, it looks spectacular
Could you please elaborate how you get power to LED strip?
That company doesn’t seem to offer the solid roofed pergola you used anymore.
i expect cheap build and this guy brings tractor, helicopter and mustang on the playground
