To clarify, I’m wondering how thrips do in the wild. Is there a risk of a plague on all our crops if I transplant these, or will they just fade into the background?
The plot is right next to a nature preserve, so I have no doubt there are plenty of predators that could keep them at bay.

Buying some local beneficial insects might help.
that tomato plant is starving, dont move infected plants, treat them, triple action neem oil will nuke them
if you have problems applying it, they have cool small ULV Foggers made by xpower they are cheap, 1 cap ful and fill with neem and spray weekly till they are gone
