Phelps County master gardeners and volunteers with university extension are offering a free gardening workshop based on Missouri growing conditions. The event will be held this Saturday, February 28th, from nine to noon at Rolla’s First Baptist Church in the Ministry Center. The location is across the side street from Rolla High School, at 303 East Ninth Street. Topics that will be covered include soil health, seed starting, composting, extended growing seasons, native plants for conservation, and more. Speakers will be from the Missouri Prairie Foundation, past faculty, and advanced Missouri gardeners.
