The American casual dining chain, known for its tasty Italian-American cuisine, family-friendly atmosphere, and iconic breadsticks, currently has more than 900 locations across the country.
Olive Garden is actively expanding, with Darden Restaurants announcing last summer plans to open 40 to 45 new locations across its Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse brands in fiscal 2026.
One of the new Olive Garden spots will launch soon in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with the company having filed permits for a new spot in Midlothian, roughly 25 miles south of downtown Dallas.
Unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks will greet diners at the new Olive Garden location at 251 Nicolette Creek Road.

The restaurant will span 7,828 square feet, per documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction on the new $2.6 million Olive Garden will kick off on July 6, 2026, according to the paperwork, with the restaurant expected to be completed by March 2027.
While Midlothian residents will have to exercise some patience as they await the new location, many are already expressing their excitement online.
“I am very excited to see OG headed our way!!!” one fan wrote on Facebook.
“WE’RE GETTING AN OLIVE GARDEN!!!!” celebrated another Olive Garden fanatic.

Others were not too excited about the upcoming location, calling the chain “an insult to Italians like Taco Bell is an insult to Mexicans.”
“Oh good another chain restaurant. I’m overwhelmed with excitement,” complained another local.
Others begged for Darden brands other than Olive Garden to come to the area, including LongHorn Steakhouse and Cheddar’s.
The U.S. Sun previously reported on other Olive Garden openings, including a new restaurant slated to open on March 2.
Plus, six new locations have opened up in recent months.
