Are you "Team White", "Team Mostly White", or "Team I Need COLOR!"
Lovely. I'm just looking at white flowers to put in my part of my garden in Ireland.
I need color and soooooo enjoy sitting out in the middle of my garden in the morning with a cup of hot coffee, cocoa or tea. Team color all the way!
Team Mostly White. I never thought about this! But now that you bring it up, I think I'd prefer a white garden with maybe a few touches of a lovely cool blue.. After living through a wildfire I mostly just appreciate green things, and I need the mental peace of a more monochromatic background. What other people call boring I call peaceful. I visit other people in their oh so colorful houses and think it's lovely to visit, but I wouldn't want to live with this. There is plenty going on inside my head already without the additional stimulus from my environment. I might be on the spectrum, ha! On the other hand, I'm mostly guided by the criteria of what will grow in a tough climate.
I have my color garden in front, taking advantage of the southern exposure. My white garden is the backyard with partial to full shade. A wood lawn theme with various white polinator friendly flowers for my nighttime pollinators and elegant evenings to enjoy.
Definitively team white!! Love this video! π€πΏ I have Shasta Daisy's all types. Also white lilies, azelas,Camellias all around the front and back of my small garden. The only color is when my Japanese maples change in the Fall. I adore allllll white gardens now in my 70's. Such a peaceful feeling in this crazy world. God bless π
I like color but appreciate your pointing out the pros and cons of an all white garden. Enjoyed the examples of all the white flowers.
I am definitely a team WHITE. White is very elegant.. looks more spacious. & put well together those photos that were shown , I was taking screenshots.. Thank you so much again, Kathy.I wish we were close neighbors.,such a beautiful friend you seem.π
It's your garden, and it's what makes you happy. That's how I garden. I've just started bringing white into my garden, just to help break up the color, and once I see brown, it's deadheaded. The white gardens remind me of gardens in Charleston, SC..βΊοΈ
I admire an all white garden but itβs not for me. I love a mix of pinks, oranges, and blues. With lots of variation in foliage.
I love color
Something to think about. I love color but I love pinks and blues and lavenders, which is calming to me. I don't choose any reds or oranges. I accent with white a lot. So white is essential to pop my soft colors. Have a great week-end!
You definitely gave me something to think about. I loved the images of a white garden. I'm still in the learning stages. I have started mostly with a red garden. Unfortunately, most of my plants aren't blooming.
Team white!!!
I can't have all white. Too wet where I live. The rain constantly turns white blooms brown. Especially things like Camelia.
Fun video π Another pro for white is that you can see white from farther away – for me I like a combination of whites and color (btw Iβm a colored x-mas lights gal too π)

Team I need color but you brought up a lot of great points!
I love it all….use the whites in my shaded backyard…it makes me happy to see especially after the sun goes down…
Partial white. I usually plant an area with white annuals flowers
I NEED COLOR, I LOVE COLOR!!!
All white!!
Very interesting. I think a white(green garden is beautiful!
