  1. I am always in awe of all you do to create beauty. You even colored your cement! And added a stone boat! A couple of beauty builders. Anyway, may I suggest that you could show your "botanical" plans somewhere in the future as well? I mean, what kind of plants you have chosen to your garden and orchard and why. Indeed, you could do this video show in spring, when you probably have the plants in their beautiful mood.

  2. Hellooo Meraid and Dan! You're putting so much loving detail into your courtyard, it's looking fabulous already. 😍Your lovely climbing plants will provide another layer of beauty to that space. Meraid: great job on the stone planter/boat project! 👏👏👏

  3. Loving the transformation! Your little yacht is so sweet, and looking forward to seeing the Jasmine and lilac flower plant growing. How about a honeysuckle too? The constant rain has been awful, same here across the UK, along with Arctic winds, absolutely freezing.

  4. You guys are doing a wonderful job of landscaping and planting. It's going to be beautiful! It's quite the job of physical labour isn't it. Hope your rain slows down and Spring brings forth the clover leaf!

  5. Amazing transformation. Really no need to use plastic, with how thick the gravel layer is. A damp smell can develop, due to the non-permeable layer. Hopefully that won’t happen.

  6. those colours are real minerals…
the 'browns' are made from earth…
    umbra, ochre, …
the blues are made vom lapislazoli and other cristals,
black from cole, white from chalk…

  7. Glad to see you enjoying your home, you've worked so hard. And now the lovely entrance area which will welcome all who come and be your inside view close up. Love the planter with the ship which has brought you home.

  8. Lovely to see you again and watch another amazing progress with the court! I especially appreciate your elegance today with the pretty linen shirt ( Irish? Surely) and the silk scarf worn as a lavallière

  9. Hello from Los Angeles California 😎
It is such a treat to watch your videos , I never question what or how you go about doing things because I know it will be beautiful 👍

  10. Why aren’t you doing something with those cement walls first? Detracts from your courtyard. Love how creative you are with the sailboat, I sail too❤

  11. Oh I absolutely love it…that little sail boat is just wonderful, it’s such a sweet little statement to your sailing past. I can’t wait for your next video. Much love and huge hugs from Kent 🇬🇧 🥰🥰🥰🥰🌷🌷

  12. Absolutely love the planter with stonewall and little sail boat, so creative. Courtyard has really taken shape 😍 As for the yellow cement .. reminds me of that too😂

  13. I just love the overviews from above of your property. Just wondering, with the two roofs, old roofs attached to the house, one side and the front R you never mentioned them.

  14. I'm grateful for the dye test/results Meraid❤
Thank you so much. I use mainly cal for my projects so as & when I want to change the colour I now can!🙏
    Courtyard Looking great❤

  15. looking great amazing job – curious to know where you get the bulk mulch from are there specific companies that sell it

  16. It's always wonderful to start a garden with dreams! Now to bring it to reality… It's looking great and I know the plants will make it magnificent. I remember you both sitting on the old balcony, traveling back and forth and working on your veggie garden. My, how times have changed!! Your very own house and property!

  17. Thanks for your vid 😇💗💗💗love and bless you guys ❤😊good work on the courtyard 😊it's nice to see you guys work in the garden again 😊

  18. Those cement dyes are great. They are (most of them anyway) mineral dyes, various oxides of iron usually, and so mineral, permanent and safe (not weird petrochemical dyes) and also affordable.

  19. Please oh please render or stucco those ugly cinder block walls! Make sure to pressure wash them thoroughly first. Colour the render just like you did for your lovely wall. Apply it roughly as in American Indian stuccoed adobe walls or in swirly or wavy patterns as in Greece or Tunisia … smooth or stippled with a brush … anything to make your courtyard truly beautiful for your gorgeous home!! Love from Oz P.S. We haven't had any rain since early December. Sob.

  20. What a fabulous job youve done. Such a great insight to the outcome and its going to look lovely when the climbers grow and you plant up the area you put soil on. Lots of colour with pots and perennials.
Well done on a great job ❤

  21. Such a labour of love, can only be a success.
The courtyard is looking so good already.
The litlle boat is such a nice signature!
    Keep the fantastic work!

  22. Love the ship feature!
Did you consider putting a lime based paint (+ some of the earthy colours) on those cement block walls? Might change the whole feel of the walled enclosure…
