Oklahoma City is preparing to usher in the Year of the Horse with a lively Lunar New Year celebration at the Myriad Botanical Gardens on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

The free, family-friendly event will take place on the Devon Lawn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting everyone to experience cultural performances, food, art, and community spirit.
Organized in partnership with the Asian District Cultural Association, the Lunar New Year celebration promises a diverse program of entertainment and activities for all ages.
Performances will include martial arts demonstrations from Hoshin Dojo, traditional Chinese dance by China Roses, a Kung Fu showcase from Kung Fu San Soo OKC, and the much-anticipated Hung Viet Lion Dancers.
The event will also spotlight the Burmese Community Dance / Sang Rem and feature a high-energy set by the X2C Crew K-Pop dance group.
In addition to the performances, attendees can explore a variety of local vendors and food trucks offering cultural treats and crafts.
Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and is traditionally observed with festivities that symbolize renewal, prosperity, and good fortune.
The Myriad Gardens Lunar New Year celebration is free and open to the public, making it one of the central cultural events during this festive season in downtown Oklahoma City.
