The container has no drainage it was kept fairly wet (I filled the center terracotta pot w distilled water) I fed them mainly live meal worms or crushed up and rehydrated blood worms every three ish weeks . In a spot w plenty of light. They were doing great for a few years then the Venus fly traps turned black and all died. Iβm thinking about restarting another bog but wondering if anyone has any advice on what went wrong, what I can change if I try again?

couldβve been the terracotta pot. terracotta leaches minerals in the soil over time, which the fly traps hate.
Itβs not in a bog.
When you say the Venus fly traps where doing great, did they have plenty of red in their traps as well as leaves? Those leaves looks stretched, etiolated, and light starved.Β
Filtered light through a window may not be enough and they are slowly losing vitality each year until they couldn’t hold out.
Theyre looking a little light starved, but at the same time, is it super cold in your area? May have decided to hibernate
