I just go this gorgeous Polly at my Trader Joe’s. I have Alocasias but I’ve had my fair share of drama with them during transitions. I always got mine as babies/corms. I’ve heard that the bigger and older they are, the less likely they transition well 🙁

Can anyone share their experience acclimating large Alocasias (especially Polly and the other more sensitive ones) successfully?? Is it hopeful or am I just set up for failure?😂

I just put mine straight into pon after letting it acclimate to my house for 2 weeks. Once I put in pon i kept reseviour very low with a wick as to not saturate the roots. I kept it in a bright south window and it never showed any signs of stress and is doing great. On the other hand, im on my 2nd Anturo Velvet and both have gone downhill fast with same process and don’t know why. Im about to pull 2nd one out and put it straight to water to see what happens.

Oh and when I moved the polly to pon I got about 8 corms which have now started to sprout.
