I'm not the most plant savvy, however my fly trap has been looking off for a while now.

When I got it, it was bright green with the insides of the mouths being red, however now, there is very little green.

I'm giving it proper distilled water but I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong. This is a Cape Town Flytrap so it needs 24 hour sunlight, which I put it outside. But I dont think it is catching anything? Is it maybe starving?

What can I give it to help it?

Or what am I doing wrong?

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Lol this is a pleasant and funny thread.

You’re not doing anything wrong, you’re doing great, carnivorous plants will get red coloration when they’ve received enough light, it’s their way of preventing getting sunburned. Having the majority of the trap be red is a good thing!

For food, don’t stress it, it’ll catch flies eventually if it’s outside, and it doesn’t NEED food to survive, just light and the water.

you’re fine 🙂 they turn red under direct light, the traps are all big and healthy.

That is one happy and healthy looking plant. As others have said, they turn red when getting adequate amounts of sun/light. Keep doing what you are doing, it is in condition.
