Imo people say plants from big stores don’t last because they can’t or don’t check for pests in store (neither at home), don’t repot them if needed and don’t meet their lighting needs.
As long as you know how to care for plants, you could even bring some back from certain death

Yeah, heard the same about various stores here too. These people think that it’s the shop’s fault for their own failures to intervene when there are pests or infections.
But I get it. Big stores don’t have trained staff for their plant sections. They’re not nurseries. They just rent out space for cultivators and sometimes things happen. They kill plants, we kill plants, it all depends on the attention we’re willing to give.
