The polar vortex killed my palms :(

Hi there! I'm not sure if this is the right place… I went out of town for work when that polar vortex hit Florida, and I came home to all the palms in my yard all brown and dry and dead looking. Are they dead dead, and will I have to remove them and put new ones in to have green foliage again? Are they like banana trees where I can just hack them down and they'll shoot back up to where they were before? They were one of my favorite parts of my yard, and I'm genuinely heartbroken to see them like this… Thank you in advance for any help 🙏
