These incredible plants showed up and started taking over. I am sure there are several different kinds in my yard, but I'm not even trying to figure that out. Some smell absolutely wonderful. Some hardly smell at all. All of them are busy with critters, eating, pollinating and sleeping. And they look enchanting when you look out the window.

I’m starting a bunch from seed and damn excited to try spreading it to take over some drier, shadier space I have in my yard. Love me some frost aster and/or white aster and/or whatever aster, its so damn hardy and bugs love it!

I had a bunch in sun in front yard a few years ago when I moved in, landscapers/hardscapers messed everything up around there so I was sad to see it get all torn up….but then it spread/popped up in backyard in the shade? was so confused but I’ll take it! excited to see if it takes and spreads even more

We had several of these grow as volunteers from a neighbor’s yard. They were absolutely teeming with all kinds of bees, flies, and wasps late into the fall. I’m excited to see where they pop up this year. 🙂
