Hi everyone it’s me the crazy one who wants to grow a chunk of the florals used in my wedding. I have gotten some great feedback and ideas. One of the things I recently came across was from a flower farmer about her favorite dahlias to grow for a wedding and about the most productive dahlias. Both of these seemed like good lists but I can’t help but wonder if these particular varieties would preform the same in my zone (8a southern US) compared to hers Upstate NY. Wouldn’t certain varieties be more productive in my zone compared to her zone or am I just totally over thinking this?
Regardless l have loved suggestions from previous posts so keep them coming on your favorite varieties of prolific bloomers for the south east US. Since we don’t have a set concept map/plan I don’t have any requirements other than wanting a variety. I don’t like cactus dahlias but other than that it seems like pretty much any dahlia suggestion would be helpful. Worst thing that happens is we have a productive dahlia we don’t even up using 😉
If you know of any other lists similar to these or have your own personal notes feel free to share. Thanks again for being so helpful

This is an automatic reminder regarding r/dahlias Rule 3:
When reasonable*, posters should make a good-faith effort to identify which variety/varieties are shown in their photo(s). If you don’t know for certain, please say so. Someone will usually know!
*Common-sense exceptions to this rule will be honored, such as if the photo does not contain a blossom, or if your photo contains large volumes (such as in wide field shots).
If you’ve already done this, thank you! No further action required.
If not, please add a reply to this comment and confirm if you know the name of your dahlia variety/varieties shown in the photo(s). Alternately, if you’re uncertain of the variety name(s), it’s ok to say that, too.
