Hello! Thought I might share this little seed raising box that I made 2 days ago from an old filing cabinet that someone was throwing out. I pulled out the drawers and used a piece of clear vynil from the hardware store as the lid, and some plastic seed trays for the inside. I thought about using egg cartons as the seed trays, but was worried they might disintegrate in the humidity. I think the whole project cost about $30 up front, plus a few screws and a small plank that I had left over from previous endeavours, as well as a ratchet strap to secure the whole lot to the railing. We're going into autumn, so I have a lot of all-year-round veggies, as well as winter vegetables, and some rose seeds in there at the moment. Fingers crossed!
