Hi all,

I just picked up a lovely Dorstenia Lavrani from my local garden centre.

I own many succulents and bonsai but this is my first Dorstenia variety.

It's the middle of Summer here right now, and when I asked a worker if it would be alright to repot as I wanted to move it to a terracotta pot, they said it would be fine.

Now I could've easily 'slip potted' it into the terracotta pot as it's bigger, and then just filled the excess gaps with my own mix, but I am much too used to repotting bonsai and so I accidentally bare-rooted it during the repot out of habit.

As you can see, a few of the leaves are turning bright orange (and dropping off) which I believe is a result of repot shock. The sun in Australia is also VERY harsh so I am keeping it out of direct sun for the time being while it recovers, and watering only when the soil mix gets mostly dry but otherwise leaving it alone.

I will also note that it is a well-draining succulent mix which I added a bit more inorganic substrate to (pumice, lava rock).

My question is if anyone else has experienced the same thing, and how long it took for yours to recover in the end?
