I had to stop the video.. I think you were talking 3 different plants at one point.. dicentra, columbine, and then finished it with delphiniums.. when talking about white dicentra.. did anyone else notice that? I’ve only had one cup of coffee but I think that’s what I heard happening…
so sorry about the fire in your house. i am happy that no one was hurt and neither was Russel. and especially happy the damage was more extensive. if someone does an investigation, please let us know what they find out as to what caused the fire. BLESS ALL YOUR SOULS !!!
Thanks for taking us through your perennial order. Unrelated question but I'm hoping you or Aaron can answer. What organic product can I use to eradicate grassy and other types of weeds (such as shotweed & spotted spurge) that are beginning to grow like crazy in a large flower bed. Im ready to use something synthetic like Preen. We live behind an open field of weeds and when the city weed whacks it, the seeds just fly over the fence into my yard. Hand weeding is getting difficult. Thank you.

Oh, I would totally put that lemon Baptisia behind your new alliums. Can you imagine rows of those yellow and purple flowers together? Maybe they don’t bloom at the same time though. If they did, that would be spectacular!

I was just thinking that I hope all of your bird houses are high up so that they don't get attacked by your two cats. I remember watching a cat sit by a bird feeder and wait till there was birds. He ended up getting one and the poor lady who watches the bird feeder was devastated. So just incase it's something you might want to make sure of to protect the little birds 🐤 🐦

Thank you Laura I'm so glad you finally ordered some of the pink muhley grass. I have one I was skeptical about it but it is amazing pink. Short lived but pretty. I hope you add some black mondo grasses as well they are very striking.

I have summer breeze alstroemeria. I have 5 different kinds that are all zone 6. I am alkaline soil just like you and they have come back for me several years. I’ve had others that don’t come back as well. I am a zone 7a, but still mulch them up well before the first frost.

I love these videos going over your perennial order! Seeing you ordered more Heaven Scent…I have it in both a shade area and a full sun area and they do great in both. My full sun area gets sun on the west side of my house from about noon till 8:00 at night. I’m in a zone 5A and tried it as an experiment. I have it paired with the pink fern leaf dicentra and the Midnight Masquerade penstemon and it’s so pretty! Thank you for always inspiring me to try something new!

I’d be putting those alstroemeria in the big pots you’ve got out in the landscape. They won’t thrive in your ph. They love it here in my garden but so do camellias & azaleas.
Question: Could you follow up with the growth on this order throughout the growing season and show us what they look like at the end of the season? It would be nice to see certain plants from arrival to winter.

I'm so glad everyone is okay after the fire. So scary. I hate cleaning out flower vases too; my partner does it for me. 🙂 Ask Aaron to! Any plans for the cut flower garden interior or not quite? Excited to see your annual show in the front yard. Fav perennials for tough, dry, crappy soil [like your South garden before you amended it] [sun/part sun] I struggle to grow anything despite 5 years of as much compost as I can afford!
Let me know if there’s a hydrangea that the deer will leave alone. They’re so beautiful! But the deer are a pain!🦌
